Gazprom considered ways to begin development of Shtokmanovsky oil and gas field

The press service of the Russian gar-producing company Gazprom says Gazprom has considered ways to begin the development of the Shtokmanovsky oil and gas field in the Russian sector of the Barents Sea and chances for foreign involvement in this venture. Gazprom and France’s Total signed a framework agreement on the initial stage of the Shtokmanovsky venture mid-last month. Natural gas of the Shtokmanovsky field is to be piped to Europe across the Baltic Sea.
